What DB Studio produces

Four video services, from an aerial shot to a complete film

David Basile, drone pilot and filmmaker, combines stabilised drone, FPV and ground camera filming. DB Studio can deliver a specific shoot or a full video production, from preparation to editing.

Establish a location

Stabilised drone filming

Wide shots, fluid movements and aerial photographs to establish a location, present a site or convey the scale of an event.

  • Establishing shots
  • Architecture and property
  • Events and destinations

Move through a space

FPV drone filming

FPV can move through a space, follow an action or connect several areas in a continuous shot planned to remain clear in the edit.

  • Venue tours
  • Tracking vehicles or people
  • Continuous shots and transitions

Get closer to the subject

Ground camera filming

Camera footage to show an activity, capture a gesture, follow a subject or reveal the details of a location. Ground filming can be a standalone service or complement aerial and FPV footage.

  • Wide shots and close-ups
  • Work, activities and scenes in motion
  • Footage coordinated with your production

Build the film

Full video production

Support from the brief to the final video: preparation, shoot planning, directing, filming and editing. Stabilised drone, FPV and ground camera work are selected according to the story and the images the project needs.

  • Brief, creative direction and preparation
  • Directing and shoot planning
  • Editing and agreed delivery versions

Choose the approach

Which filming approach suits your project?

A brief can combine several approaches. The starting point is always what the audience needs to see and understand.

Present a location, site or building
A stabilised drone creates clear compositions, changes scale and, where needed, captures aerial photographs.
Follow an action, vehicle or person
An FPV drone stays close to the subject and builds a continuous route indoors or outdoors.
Show a gesture, activity or detail
Ground filming places the camera at the subject’s level, varies the framing and captures the scenes the film needs, with or without a drone.
Entrust the project from preparation to editing
Full video production creates a coherent film and its delivery versions. An assignment can also be limited to footage for your editing team.

Production process

  1. 01

    Brief & creative direction

Define the film and its uses

The subject, audience, message, location, date and distribution channels frame the project. Deliverables and scope are agreed together.

  2. 02

    Preparation

Plan the shots and the shoot

The recce, access, camera route and required sequences are prepared. If a drone is involved, geographical zones and the necessary procedures are reviewed for the specific location.

  3. 03

    Directing & filming

Capture images that serve the story

Aerial, FPV and ground shots are directed according to the project. Angles, movements and variations provide complementary footage for the edit.

  4. 04

    Editing & delivery

Assemble and deliver the agreed versions

The edit builds the film’s rhythm and continuity. Final versions are delivered in the agreed formats; for a filming-only assignment, your team receives the agreed footage.

Frequently asked questions

What a DB Studio service includes

What qualifications and cover does DB Studio hold?

David Basile holds CATS and A1/A3, A2 and STS certificates or competencies. DB Studio also holds professional insurance for its activities.

Who handles the administrative procedures?

DB Studio assesses the location, geographical zones and flight scenario, then prepares the notifications or authorisation applications required for the operation.

Can you produce and edit a complete video?

Yes. DB Studio can handle the brief, preparation, shoot planning, directing, filming and editing of the agreed versions. The assignment can also be limited to filming for an existing production team.

Can we book camera filming without a drone?

Yes. Ground video filming is a standalone service. It can capture a location, activity, gestures or details with a camera. It can also complement aerial and FPV shots within the same film.

What is the difference between FPV and a stabilised drone?

A stabilised drone suits establishing shots, fluid movements and photography. FPV enables closer, continuous and immersive passes. The two can be combined.

Where can DB Studio work?

Projects are assessed in Luxembourg, Moselle and Grand Est, elsewhere in France and internationally, depending on scheduling, equipment and local regulations. Renault Cliorama in Paris and Villa Resorts in the Maldives illustrate this travel.

Can we request footage only?

Yes. Shots, framing, durations and file formats are then agreed with your team before filming.

What information should we send for an initial response?

The exact location, a date or period, the subject, intended use, expected formats and a few visual references are enough for an initial feasibility assessment.
